CBAHI Infection Control Consultation
We help your facility prepare the infection prevention and control (IPC) part of its CBAHI accreditation, from reviewing where you stand today to training your staff.

How we help
The consultation starts with a review of your current infection control practice, policies and records against what an accreditation survey looks for. You receive a clear list of gaps and a practical plan to close them, in the order that matters most.
Documentation and training
We support you in preparing and organizing the infection control documents your facility needs, and we build a training plan for your staff. Where training is needed, we can deliver it as SCFHS-accredited CME, so your team earns valid CME hours while you prepare. Mulhim is an SCFHS-accredited CME provider (AC10000415) and is licensed by the National eLearning Center (NELC).
Who it is for
Clinics, polyclinics and hospitals preparing for a first CBAHI survey or a renewal, and facilities that want an outside review of their infection control program before the surveyors arrive.
What the review covers
We look at the parts of an infection prevention and control program that surveyors usually ask about, using your own policies, records and daily practice as evidence:
- Hand hygiene, including how compliance is monitored and fed back to staff
- Cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of instruments and equipment
- Environmental cleaning and the handling of healthcare waste and sharps
- Standard and transmission-based (isolation) precautions
- Surveillance of healthcare-associated infections and the actions that follow
- Staff health: vaccination and follow-up after an exposure
- Your infection control committee, policies and training records
The aim is a realistic picture of where you stand today, not a box-ticking exercise.
How the work runs
- First call. We learn about your facility, your services and your survey date.
- Review. We go through your policies, records and practice together with your infection control lead.
- Gap report and plan. You receive the gaps in priority order, with an owner and a target date for each.
- Documents and training. We help you complete the documents and train the staff who need it.
- Readiness check. Before the survey we go through the plan together and confirm what is still open.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you guarantee accreditation?
No. Accreditation decisions belong to CBAHI. We help you prepare the infection control part as well as possible: reviewing gaps, organizing documents and training staff.
Can the staff training count for CME?
Yes. Training we deliver as part of the consultation can be SCFHS-accredited, so participants receive valid CME hours.
How long does a consultation take?
It depends on the size of the facility and how close the survey is. After the first call we propose a scope and a timeline.
Do you work with our own infection control team?
Yes. Your infection control lead and committee stay in charge of the program; the consultation helps them find the gaps and close them.
Is this only for hospitals?
No. Clinics and polyclinics preparing for CBAHI can use it as well; the scope is sized to the facility.
