Mulhim

Last updated: 4 October 2026

This Cookies Policy explains how Mulhim Continuing Medical Education (“Mulhim”, “we”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the Mulhim website and learning platform, what each of them stores, and how you choose which ones we may use. Please read it together with our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage and session storage, keep small pieces of information on your device in the same way. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of them.

Some cookies are set by Mulhim itself (first-party cookies). Others are set by the providers whose services we use on our pages (third-party cookies); those providers control them under their own policies.

The categories we use

  • Essential (always on): needed for the site to work and to keep the choices you make: signing in, keeping your cart, remembering your cookie choice, protecting forms, playing course videos and taking payments. They cannot be switched off in our cookie settings.
  • Analytics (optional): help us understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive and where a page is hard to use (heatmaps and recordings of clicks, scrolling and mouse movement), so we can improve it.
  • Marketing (optional): used by advertising partners to measure our campaigns and to show you relevant Mulhim courses and offers on other websites and apps.

How we load analytics and marketing tags

We load our analytics and marketing tags through Google Tag Manager, a Google service that delivers, from one place, the tags we set up. It sets no cookies itself; the tags it loads may.

  • Google Tag Manager loads only after you allow Analytics, Marketing or both. If you allow neither, it is not loaded at all.
  • Before any tag runs, we tell Google Tag Manager and every tag what you chose. Everything starts as “not allowed”. Allowing Analytics lets the analytics tags run; allowing Marketing lets the advertising tags run. Google calls this “Consent Mode”.
  • Each tag in our Google Tag Manager setup is set to require its own category before it runs, so a tag in a category you did not allow does not run.
  • The tags it may load are only the providers listed in the tables below.

These are the only analytics and marketing providers we use, and the only ones our Google Tag Manager setup may load. Each of them runs only after you allow its category. When an advertising provider’s pixel runs, that provider may also let its own advertising partners set cookies, for example to recognise the same browser across their services; those partner cookies follow the provider’s and the partner’s own policies. Durations for third-party cookies are those the providers publish and may change. If we add a provider, we will update these tables first and ask for your choice again.

How consent works on Mulhim

  • On your first visit, a banner asks for your choice. Until you make one, only essential cookies are used: no analytics or marketing cookie or script is loaded.
  • Accept all allows analytics and marketing cookies.
  • Reject non-essential keeps only essential cookies.
  • Manage preferences lets you choose each category. If you have not made a choice before, Analytics and Marketing are selected when the panel opens; untick any category you do not want. Nothing is enabled until you press Save preferences.
  • We keep a record of your choice (the categories, the date, the policy version and a random visitor identifier) so that we can show the consent you gave.

Changing your choice

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it: use the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page, or open your cookie preferences here. We pass your new choice to Google Tag Manager and its tags straight away. If you withdraw a category you had allowed, the page reloads, so that no script of that category keeps running. Cookies a provider has already set stay in your browser until they expire or you delete them.

Controlling cookies in your browser

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and other site data. Blocking essential cookies may stop sign-in, the cart or payment from working. Your browser’s help pages explain how:

Google also offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.

Third-party policies

Each provider explains its own cookies and how it uses the data it collects:

Your personal data

Information collected through cookies that relates to you is personal data. We process it in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (PDPL) and its Implementing Regulations, as described in our Privacy Policy. Essential cookies are used because they are needed to provide the service you request. Analytics and marketing cookies are used only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Some third-party providers may process data outside the Kingdom. Our Privacy Policy explains your rights, including access to, correction of and deletion of your personal data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when we change the cookies we use or when the law requires it. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version. If a change affects the choice you made, we will ask you again.
