Before you buy any CME hours, open Mumaris Plus and read two things: your professional category, which sets your target, and the hours already posted to your CPD record for this period. Your real need is the difference. Then choose the smallest bundle that closes it.
Why check first?
Many practitioners buy hours from memory: "I think I need 40." Some need 20 because they are classified as technicians. Others already have hours posted from conferences or earlier courses and need far fewer than they assume. Five minutes in Mumaris Plus can save you time and money, and it avoids the opposite mistake of buying too little.
How to check your SCFHS CME target in five minutes
- Sign in to Mumaris Plus.
- Read your professional classification: technician, specialist, pharmacist, or physician and dentist.
- Note the start and end dates of your current registration period.
- Open your CPD record and add up the hours already posted for this period.
- Subtract the posted hours from your target. That is your gap.
Technician
Every technician classification.
Specialist or pharmacist
Including registered and specialist nurses.
Physician or dentist
Every grade.
Match your gap to a bundle
| Your situation | Hours still due | Best match |
|---|---|---|
| Technician, starting fresh | 20 | 20-hour bundle, 4 courses |
| Specialist or pharmacist with some hours posted | 30 | 30-hour bundle, 6 courses |
| Specialist or pharmacist, starting fresh | 40 | 40-hour bundle, 8 courses |
| Physician or dentist, starting fresh | 60 | 40-hour bundle, then top up |
Physicians and dentists can top up the last 20 hours with other accredited activities. A new 20-hour offering for them is coming soon.
Three gaps, worked out
The arithmetic is target minus posted hours. Here is how it plays out in three typical cases.
| Who | Target | Posted this period | Gap | What fits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lab technician who assumed 40 | 20 | 5 | 15 | 3 courses, or the 20-hour bundle |
| Pharmacist after a conference | 40 | 10 | 30 | 30-hour bundle |
| Dentist with nothing posted | 60 | 0 | 60 | 40-hour bundle, then 20 from other accredited activities |
The lab technician would have bought twice what he needed. The pharmacist almost bought 40 because the conference had not posted yet; once it did, 30 was enough. The dentist needed the full plan and had to start early.
What mistakes should you avoid before buying?
- Using a colleague's number. Two people in the same department can sit in different categories.
- Counting hours from the wrong period. Only hours posted for your current registration period reduce this period's gap.
- Ignoring the clock. Each bundle gives 6 months of access. If your renewal window opens in 4 months, plan to finish the courses well before that, and leave 24 to 48 business hours for the last one to post.
- Buying to replace hours that are only missing. Chase the provider first; the hours may simply not be posted yet.
If you are not sure where each figure sits on the screen, see how to check your CPD hours and activity status in Mumaris Plus.
Check the dates as well as the hours
Your gap is only half the picture. The other half is time. You can apply to renew three months before your period ends, and a late fine applies from 31 days after it ends. Mulhim posts hours within 24 to 48 business hours of each course, so leave a margin. As shown in Mumaris Plus, SCFHS also sends a reminder about 60 days before expiry by email and WhatsApp. For the full timeline, read the two-year cycle explained.
Buy with confidence
Every Mulhim course is SCFHS accredited and carries 5 CME hours, and Mulhim is fully accredited. Each bundle gives 6 months of access, and you download every certificate from your dashboard.

Where can I see how many CME hours I need?
In Mumaris Plus. Your classification sets the target, and your CPD record shows the hours already posted for the current period.
Do certificates I hold reduce my gap?
Only once the hours are posted to your CPD record. Renewal reads the record, not certificates.
What if I need about 30 more hours?
The 30-hour bundle is a step up for practitioners who already have some hours posted.
I am a physician with 40 hours posted. What now?
You need 20 more. Use other accredited activities; a new 20-hour offering for physicians and dentists is coming soon.
How long does Mulhim take to post hours?
Within 24 to 48 business hours after you complete each course.
