Professional Training Plan for Trainers in E-Learning
In alignment with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and efforts to achieve sustainable development goals by enhancing healthcare professionals (medical students and practitioners), a comprehensive e-learning environment has been established. Recognizing the challenges faced by medical students and health practitioners, experienced trainers have been prepared and trained comprehensively on three primary domains: (Technology Use, E-Content Development, and Teaching Skills).
First: Technology Use
- Effective planning and design of remote education using technology.
- Utilizing technology for electronic assessment and evaluation.
- Professional development through technological tools.
- Using portable wireless devices (mobile phones, PDAs, laptops) to facilitate flexible and interactive learning.
- Efficiently accessing and utilizing the educational platform systems.
- Ensuring availability of necessary tools for high-quality e-learning delivery.
- Technically handling educational materials, attendance, and assessment systems.
- Practicing safe and secure use of technology resources.
Second: E-Content Development
- Designing and developing electronic content using computers and various software applications.
- Publishing and presenting e-content effectively to trainees.
- Providing diverse learning resources and interactive media tailored to trainees' needs (synchronous and asynchronous).
- Utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS), Content Management Systems (CMS), and various Google educational tools.
Third: Teaching Skills
Trainers are equipped with professional teaching skills through three structured stages:
• Technical Stage:
- Mastering basic computer skills.
- Effective use of LMS and CMS.
- Integrating social media platforms effectively in academic contexts.
• Design Stage:
- Clearly outlining the training program.
- Designing and developing professional-quality electronic educational content.
- Mastering content delivery through suitable electronic educational tools.
- Diversifying teaching methods and encouraging teamwork and active inquiry.
- Regularly updating educational content to remain current with the latest developments.
• Administrative Stage:
- Accurately tracking trainee attendance electronically.
- Ensuring consistent trainee engagement throughout training programs.
- Monitoring trainee progress through content mastery and training completion.
- Conducting continuous and fair evaluation to guarantee the highest quality e-learning experience.
Instructional Guide for Synchronous and Asynchronous Trainees
- Access the Mulhim platform.
- Log in using your provided credentials.
- Select your desired training course.
- Participants are required to attend at least 70% of the total course hours to obtain a course completion certificate. This applies to synchronous, asynchronous, and blended learning formats.
